The eWheel is a highly integrated, modular wheel drive that has been specially developed for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots. It combines all relevant components - BLDC motor, planetary gearbox, integrated brake, encoder/encoder system and wheel - in a compact, space-saving unit.

Thanks to the compact design, there is more space in the vehicle for batteries, controls, sensors or additional functional units. This means that vehicles can be designed to be particularly slim and efficient.

The modularity of the eWheel enables flexible adaptation to different requirements: Motor size, transmission ratio, wheel diameter, encoder and brake settings can be selected depending on the application. A total of over 70,000 possible variants are available to optimally cover your individual application.

In the basic configurations, the units achieve a speed of up to 3.0 m/s and therefore efficient material movement in production or logistics environments.

As a drive unit equipped with powerful BLDC motors with optional redundant encoder sensors and an integrated holding brake, the eWheel guarantees a high overload capacity and safe control - ideal for demanding or safety-critical environments.

A special feature is its ease of maintenance: the wheel can be changed in just a few minutes - typically by loosening just three screws. This means that service or wear work can be carried out particularly quickly, reducing downtime and maximizing the availability of your vehicles.
