Application                                                              Caffeic acid is widely distributed in various Chinese medicinal plants such as Artemisia capillaris, Artichoke, and Lonicera japonica. Belonging to the class of phenolic acids, it possesses pharmacological effects including cardiovascular protection, antimutagenic and anticancer properties, antibacterial and antiviral activity, lipid-lowering and hypoglycemic effects, anti-leukemia effects, immunomodulatory effects, choleretic and hemostatic effects, and antioxidant effects. Caffeic acid can constrict and strengthen microvessels, reduce permeability, improve coagulation function, and increase white blood cell and platelet counts. Clinically, it is often used for the prevention and treatment of various surgical and internal medicine bleeding, showing significant efficacy in gynecological bleeding. It is also used for chemotherapy and radiotherapy in tumor diseases, as well as for symptoms of leukopenia and thrombocytopenia caused by other reasons. It also has certain therapeutic effects on primary thrombocytopenia and aplastic  anemia-related leukopenia.
